FFP3 face masks with a valve are high-filtration respirators that can filter out at least 99% of airborne particles, including very fine dust, mists, and biological agents like viruses. They offer the highest level of protection available in the FFP series. The valve on these masks eases exhalation and reduces heat and moisture build-up, providing more comfort for the wearer during prolonged use. However, as the valve allows unfiltered air to be exhaled, these masks are not suitable for situations where sterile conditions must be maintained or where there is concern about potential virus transmission from the wearer.
